Totality Within Dynamic Patterns
The dynamic manifestation of physical phenomena in nature has an immediate and profound effect on human experience. The ever changing disposition of surface qualities on all organic forms, living and non-living, is a visual indicator of impermanent nature of life and of interdependent relationship between all phenomena. It is this very dynamic which contributes to the excitement, spontaneity and sophistication of nature’s grand design. Totality Within Dynamic Patterns presents an exploration into the energetic character of changing patterns while integrating human participation as means to initiate a holistic interplay of the two.
Lana Mina Popovic was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1981. She came to the United States in 1999 for the purpose of expanding her horizons and pursuing higher education. She attended the University of Charleston in WV gaining her BA degree in Interior Design with minor in Leadership. Upon graduating she moved to New York City where she worked as the project manager at O’Neil Langan Architects, and later as an independent contractor at the interior design firm of Randall A. Ridless. In addition to her intellectual pursuits Lana has also spent most of her life engaging in various physical disciplines. For the past 5 years she focused primarily on internal and external cultivation of Chinese martial arts which had tremendous influence on forming her present personality and establishing her life’s philosophies.
