Robert A Patrick

My thesis is a design process to create meaningful personal connections among people. The products, environments and services I am creating are meant to establish and foster communication. My designs are responses to how life and society have left us alone in a connected world.

I was born in Los Angeles in the rainy season of 1981. With most of my family in the mid-west I spent much of my formidable years in the back of a 1978 Chevy Impala station wagon driving the interior of the United States, yet seldom crossing the Mississippi. I first came to New York to attend the Tisch School of the Arts. The City has been my home for a dozen years now. In that time I have worked in the photography, film / television production, and as a carpenter. Now I am an industrial designer working towards meaningful and scalable solutions for human-centered and sustainability issues.
