Structure and pattern are greatly applied in everything around us. It is also the essence of the beauty of Math. I firmly believe that Math can add so much to design, not merely to the form but also to the process and the logic behind. Therefore, the main thesis research is to study pattern and structure, through Mathematical analysis and calculation, in the hope of bringing the beauty of Math closer to our daily life.
With former training in Mathematics, Li-Rong's design is always inspired by the simplicity and beauty of Math. Born and raised in Taiwan, Li-Rong moved to New York in 2008. In New York, she found her lifelong interest in design. As an industrial designer, Li-Rong is pursuing the sense of fulfillment and happiness through the ability of transforming her inspirations and imagination into realistic design objects.
